Access audit
v-shesh is empanelled as an Access Auditor with Government of India’s Accessible India Campaign. v-shesh has conducted audits for Government of India, Government of Tamil Nadu, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Public Sector Enterprises, some of India’s most respected educational institutions and top tier Multinational and Domestic companies.
v-shesh’s team members have experience of conducting audits of educational institutions, offices, manufacturing plants, Government offices, Offices from where citizen services are provided, retail stores, warehouses etc.
v-shesh’s approach to access audit is
- Consultative – in actively seeking inputs during designing and execution phases of the study
- Participatory – in engaging with staff (including Persons with Disabilities) during the study
- Practical – in providing recommendations that are pragmatic, practical and cost effective
All access audit teams includes Persons with Disabilities either that could be an expert working with v-shesh or an individual from a pool of volunteers that have experience in access audits. Audit is conducted using Accessible India Campaign’s checklist as well as feedback from users and visitors. Audit report is designed along the lines of checklist for consistency and includes photographs and pragmatic recommendations.
Inclusion assessment
In line with its philosophy that ‘Inclusive environments are not just Physically accessible but also sensitive to Social aspects’ v-shesh also conducts inclusion assessments for organisations to get an insight on its inclusion quotient. These assessments start with seeking opinion and feedback from staff members about disability inclusion and provide concrete recommendations on improving disability inclusion at workplace.
